Such a fabulous weekend at In The Stix. On arrival, Alex was there to greet us & help us settle in & made sure our girls felt at home! The domes are incredible...clean, comfy & pure luxury, we enjoyed our nights sitting around the log burner! The setting just tops it off, from the playground, honesty shop, walk to the local pub & the peace & quiet, itβs all been thought out to give you the best experience!! Will definitely be back!!x

We have just returned from a lovely week away at this picturesque location and I cannot praise Alex and Darren enough for being such wonderful hosts.
The domes are absolutely amazing- from the outside they looked smaller than we imagined but once inside it was as if some sort of magic had occurred and they were spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The bathroom made it feel a home from home and removed the usual horror of having to use a shared bathroom! Alex and Darren really have thought of everything and made sure all our needs were catered for.
Our two children (ages 9 & 5) had a wonderful time doing just what children should be doing on holiday- running around, exploring and playing imaginative games with the other children who happened to be staying in the other domes.
Our 2 year old energetic Labrador also enjoyed himself thoroughly- he was content to lie sleepily outside the dome in the sunshine and inside at night. There is also a lovely field just over the brook behind the site where Alex informed us we could let him off the lead and he had a wonderful time running around the field there. We also took a walk to the village and had a delicious meal at the local pub- The Wheatsheaf- the food was heavenly and they allow dogs into the bar whilst you are eating which was brilliant for us.
On other days we took a trip to Oakham and the Hambleton bakery (omg gorgeous!) and spent a day at Rutland Water. The site itself is so lovely that you really donβt need to leave if you just want to stay and relax- there are plenty of board games to play and of course the fantastic wood fired hot tub which we all enjoyed thoroughly.
Darren also kindly set up the camp fire for us and we had a lovely time toasting marshmallows and chatting to our neighbours.
Overall it was a wonderful break for us all- nice to turn of from technology and have some precious family time together. Canβt wait to return in the future, hopefully with friends.
Thank you again Alex and Darren (and also Edwin and Jane) you made our holiday one to remember.
